7 Resources That Can Enhance Your Casual Minecraft Gameplay

It's quite often to see many Minecraft YouTubers use different mods and resource packs to completely alter the game's visuals or add features that can make Minecraft gameplay more easy, informative and smooth. We also see most of the Minecraft Content Creators use shaders to shoot cinematic shots or give a sense of realism to the game, although that doesn't go very well with potato PCs 🤣. So, you might also want to like modify the gameplay and also play like as if you're a YouTuber (applies to non-YouTubers & people who didn't modify their game yet only, don't lash out on me later). And well, you've come to the right place. Well, we won't be reveal all the resources used by YouTubers to enhance their gameplay, we'll be discussing the most commonly used ones that are user-friendly and are best of the best. So, let's get right into it!

1. Iris Shaders [Mod]

It's very much understandable how frustrating it can be to not have essential mods such as the Just Enough Recipes (JEI) mod not being compatible or supported on the OptiFine architecture. But with this mod, it brings back most of the features from OptiFine into Fabric, NeoForge, and Quilt. This mod, named as Iris Shaders, developed by coderbot and IMS, is a Fabric, NeoForge, and Quilt-compatible mod that allows OptiFine shader packs to be loaded into the game without actually having OptiFine installed. Most of the popular shader packs support both OptiFine and Iris, making it easy for players to have their not OptiFine-supported mods at their hand along with their favo(u)rite shader packs at their fingertips. You can download from Modrinth.

2. Jade 🔍 [Mod]

Picture yourself building a honey farm for example, a manual one at least. As per the tutorial, you should check whether the Bee Hive or the Bee Nest is full or not, and for that, you need to press F3 (or Fn + F3) which opens up the Debug overlay, and well, you see the levels, but in a way that looks like you're a developer. Well, if you're not a developer and want a user-friendly interface instead of the tedious Debug interface, Jade 🔍 is going to be your buddy in that! Developed by Snownee, this mod which is Fabric, Forge, Quilt, and NeoForge-compatible, this mod shows details of what your pointing or looking at, and almost removes the need to open the Debug menu for block details. You can download from Modrinth.

3. Zoomify [Mod]

Let's just say, you don't have OptiFine, and you use Iris Shaders for using shader packs on architectures like Fabric. But, you really want OptiFine's Zooming feature which is just not there on Iris Shaders. So, let me introduce you to Zoomify, a mod developed by isxander, which is Fabric and Quilt-compatible, that allows you to zoom, but not only like OptiFine, you can zoom much more than OptiFine itself, and has a cool zooming animation. Works pretty well even on potato PCs.....if you don't have high graphics settings set. Pretty much your get-go for zooming in Minecraft Fabric or Quilt. You can download from Modrinth.

4. Veinminer [Mod + Datapack]

Well, mining ores is fun and exciting, especially when you see big veins of diamonds, coal, iron or even lapis lazuli! But, it can be tedious when you have to use Stone Pickaxe to mine big veins of coal or iron, as it is slow and can take up a lot of time. So, to solve this problem, the Veinminer mod & datapack is here! Developed by Miraculixx, which is a datapack and is also a Fabric, Folia, Bukkit, Forge, Paper, Purpur, Quilt, and Spigot-compatible mod, this mod and datapack makes mining big veins of ores easier by allowing the player to mine all ores in the vein at once when mining a single ore block. This requires some Silk and Fabric API mods to be installed, which you can follow in the mod's page guide. You can view the mod page and download it on Modrinth.

5. Motschen's Better Leaves [Resource Pack]

So, yea, we obviously want modifications on the leaves for some bushy feel and much more natural feel of our forests and trees and leaf decorations. So, let's welcome the texture pack that can fulfil this need, Motschen's Better Leaves. Developed by Motschen, this resource pack overhauls the overall look, appearance, and feel of all tree leaves. It has support for a wide variety of mods, who's list you can view on the resource pack page. It makes the leaves bushier and bigger. You can download from Modrinth.

6. Faithful 64x [Resource Pack]

Let's now move on from feature-specific modifications to entire game modification. Next up, we have the Faithful 64x texture pack. This texture pack, developed by the Faithful Resource Pack Organization over on Modrinth, modifies all the game's textures to give it a more detailed experience and gameplay. This has quadruple-resolution textures and is a must have if you're looking to overhaul the entire game. You can download from Modrinth.

7. Bloop Shaders [Shader Pack]

You've installed Iris Shaders mod or will be planning to install after you read my very long blog 🤣. So, have you decided which shader pack would you use? Well, if you haven't, you don't have to search anymore, because I have one best option, which can be suitable for potato PCs also....Introducing to you Bloop Shaders, a shader pack developed by espen96, Iris and OptiFine-compatible, that can ensure
maximum speed (means FPS) while maintaining good visuals. It's a must-have for players who are looking to ensure realism in their gameplay while maintaining their good old potato PC. You can download from Modrinth.
